Cylinder Liners Rehabilitation

Cylinder Liners

Liners are rehabilitated by RA Power Solutions. It is observed that due to continuous running of diesel generator sets the wear and tear takes place in cylinder liners. Ovality, taper, loss of surface finish is observed. The cylinder liners are calibrated and in case they are within the tolerances specified by the manufacturer’s liners are rehabilitated by machining and honing process.

It is recommended that Honing or Liners should be undertaken in order to enhance the life of liners, piston and piston rings. The lube oil consumption is also reduced considerably after the rehabilitation of liners.
