White metal Babbitt bearings up to 1500 mm bore size are manufactured. We develop and manufacture the Babbitt bearing as per the drawing and the material specifications required. The white metal Babbitt bearings are centrifugally cast which ensures proper bonding with the bearing steel lining.  We have in house team of technicians to undertake inspection of bearings which includes ultrasound test for bonding, hardness test, dimensional inspection, etc.

Rebabbitting of old bearing is undertaken. We use the white metal of the same grade or the grade superior than the original which enhances the life and performance of the white metal bearing after rebabbitting is done. We also depute our technician to polish the shaft on which bearing is to be assembled.

Connecting Rod Reconditioning

It is generally observed that connecting rod big end develops taper and ovality after continuous running. The small end bore bush which is commonly manufactured of bronze material gets worn out. Hence it is necessary to undertake periodic check of connecting rod.

RA Power Solutions have facility to inspect connecting rod on DRDO equipped boring machine. The connecting rod big end is re-bored to the standard size and the small end bush is replaced.

The straightness of connecting rods is also checked. The reconditioning of connecting rods and connecting rod calibration is also undertaken with guarantee.

Onsite Grinding of Turbine Shaft

Turbine bearing seating area needs periodical inspection. Turbine shaft operates on high RPM. It is generally observed that turbine shaft bearing seating area develops line marks, roughness, taper and ovality.

RA Power Solutions undertakes onsite grinding and polishing of turbine shaft. The turbine shaft is initially inspected by our technicians and in case all parameters are observed under control the polishing of turbine shaft is undertaken.

Cylinder Liners Rehabilitation

Cylinder Liners

Liners are rehabilitated by RA Power Solutions. It is observed that due to continuous running of diesel generator sets the wear and tear takes place in cylinder liners. Ovality, taper, loss of surface finish is observed. The cylinder liners are calibrated and in case they are within the tolerances specified by the manufacturer’s liners are rehabilitated by machining and honing process.

It is recommended that Honing or Liners should be undertaken in order to enhance the life of liners, piston and piston rings. The lube oil consumption is also reduced considerably after the rehabilitation of liners.
